To kick off a brand new partnership, we caught up with the team at Cotswold Home Cinemas to learn more about how they can bring tailored cinema experiences into your home with luxury cinema rooms.

How would you best describe Cotswold Home Cinema?

We’re a husband and wife team who combines over 19 years of industry experience with passion, expert knowledge, and a belief that intimate cinematic experiences can be created in any space, within any home. We take pride in being able to call ourselves a family-run business, where our focus is on providing a truly unique and personal service, and we strive to offer our customers the most rewarding and satisfying home cinema experience possible.

Where does the inspiration for the cinema designs come from?

We approach each new commission as a totally unique undertaking, allowing time at the beginning and throughout to explore everything that is important to our client, enabling us to create a design that incorporates everything it needs to. As we progress through the design process, it naturally evolves and we work closely with our clients to ensure the room we design is inspired by their ideas of a dream home cinema, combined with the inspiration we take from the rest of the property and existing decor. Our aim is to deliver a space within your home that is more than just a room – it’s a space that becomes a place to relax, a place to enjoy, to socialise and, most importantly, a place to create lasting memories.

How easy is it to have a cinema room built?

It’s incredibly easy! A popular misconception is that you need to have a huge room to be able to have a home cinema, but that’s simply not the case. Of course, a huge room can be transformed into an awesome cinema, but we can still create a mind blowing home cinema in a relatively small space. Our demonstration facility is built in a small room that’s just over 4x4m and perfectly illustrates how an intimate and immersive cinema room can be achieved with a smaller space. Once we have an idea of what our client is after and we know what sort of space we have to work with, we put the design together and agree on a date for installation.

What’s the one piece of equipment you would recommend we buy this year?

If you only buy one thing this year, we would suggest it be a Kaleidescape Strato Movie Server.
