Welcome to Whitelands

Located on one of the UK’ s most exclusive private estates, Whitelands is designed to offer the very utmost in opulent living. With its palatial, grand façade and its sweeping driveway, it’s a true example of luxury at its finest.

Entrance Hall:

Stepping into the magnificent entrance hall, your eyes are instantly drawn towards the spectacular glass rod chandelier which, as it cascades six metres, creates a beautiful focal point in the large expanse of space. Framing the chandelier is an enormous, nine-panelled silver mirror which highlights the open space and accentuates the grandeur of the hall.

Drawing Room:

Intended to be a formal entertaining space, the drawing room is sophisticated and serene, with soft tones of taupe and mauve giving the room an elegant and stylish feel. Faux silk wallpaper is used to give the room a luxurious and expensive feel. The layout of the room has been designed to be completely symmetrical, emphasising the formality of the drawing room. Upholstered in a soft, grey fabric with matching piping, the sofas are embellished with a selection of plush mauve fabric cushions making them feel cosy and inviting. Two dark grey oak framed, double-tiered coffee tables with glass tops and mirror bases, sit side-by-side centrally to the room. In a room dominated by squares (in the sofas, coffee table and lighting), the harshness is softened with the addition of a large, eye-catching piece of art hanging over the fireplace.

Dining Room:

The textured silk effect wallpaper in dark grey gives the dining room an expensive look and feel, creating a dramatic atmosphere that is ideal for hosting dinner parties. During the day, the room is flooded with light due to its positioning at the corner of the house, meaning that the dark wallpaper doesn’t overpower the room or make it feel smaller. The dark walls are contrasted with the taupe double-pinched curtains in satin with a pronounced texture. An impressive, square table in satin wenge sits centrally in the spacious room. Surrounding the table are twelve identical dining chairs with wenge legs to match the table. The backs of the chairs are upholstered in a light dove grey textured fabric, which, with a slight sheen to it, catches the light. Suspended above the table is a striking, cylindrical pendant chandelier. The crystal rods and nickel frame create a majestic sparkle, making the light a brilliant focal point in the room.

Master Bedroom:

The master bedroom is a beautiful and elegant haven. In a sophisticated melange of taupe, ivory and sand, the bedroom feels warm and welcoming. The eye is drawn to the floor-to-ceiling padded headboard wall, in taupe/grey faux leather, giving a stunning textured look when it catches the light. Mixing in a variety of coffee, ivory and champagne fabrics adds another element of richness to the room. Framing the bed are two double-tiered, crystal long drop chandeliers, aligned perfectly with the chic stone lacquer bedside tables with contrasting matt base and gloss drawers. The bedroom is spacious, allowing for a seating area without over-populating the room. At the base of the bed sits an upholstered bench in a glamorous metallic effect weave.

Ensuites:

In “her” ensuite, upon the luxurious marble floor stands the double-width vanity unit. In gloss black lacquer, it is contrasted beautifully with gold oval handles and curved legs. Upon this sit two elegantly sculpted basins, the shape of which is synonymous with the bevelled mirror hanging above. The wall in which the vanity unit sits against is recessed to introduce the LED strip lighting around the edges which as it provides an ambient glow, adds to the opulence of the bathroom.

Garage:

In the garage, the circular coffered ceiling is reflected on the ground with the car turntable. On the ground floor, we created pocket doors in place of traditional doors to not only maximise on the use of space, but to give a sleek and sophisticated look.

Cinema Room:

When designing the scheme for the cinema room, we were keen to make sure it felt like a room to be used every day, not just for watching the occasional movie. We designed a large, bespoke corner sofa in a soft dove-grey nubuck with chunky chrome feet. This opens the space up to accommodate a pair of white marble topped coffee tables on polished stainless-steel bases, and a set of three midnight blue stools. The final touch is the vintage movie posters framed on the wall, adding an additional bit of character as well as a splash of additional colour in the room.

The Spa:

The spa, in elegant black and gold, is designed to provide the utmost in luxury. Located ideally in the basement, between the gym and the cinema room, it is a superb space for entertaining. The raised, oval coffered ceiling with hidden lighting casts an elegant and soothing glow across the spa. The lack of harsh light provides the perfect atmosphere for such a setting.

Pool:

The property features a large hydraulic swimming pool with a rising floor. This provides a space that can be completely versatile, either as a swimming pool, or an entertaining function room/ballroom. With a switch operated, stop-start system the floor can be adjusted to different depths. In the entrance hall and pool areas, the flooring features a beautiful design with the inspiration originating in the pool room. We wanted to create an elegant aesthetic feature so that when the floor was raised to become the ballroom, it revealed a distinctive dancefloor set to impress guests.
