A New Destination in Japan: Aman Niseko

Set within Hokkaido’s dramatic northern landscape, where powder-filled winters give way to wildflower summers, Aman Niseko introduces a new expression of alpine luxury. Located on the slopes of Mount Moiwa, it is Aman’s fourth Japanese property and the only development on the mountain, offering rare seclusion within one of Japan’s most coveted regions.

A Landmark Setting

Surrounded by protected nature, the resort brings together Japan’s first destination wellness retreat with just 31 Aman-branded Residences. Designed by the late Kerry Hill, the architecture is contemporary yet deeply rooted in place, with subtle references to the traditions of Hokkaido’s indigenous Ainu culture. Natural materials and considered proportions allow the landscape to remain the defining presence.

Wellness and Seasonality

Life at Aman Niseko moves with the seasons. Winter centres on world-class skiing and snowboarding, while spring and summer open access to hiking, mountain biking and river rafting. Wellness is embedded throughout the resort, with indoor and outdoor onsen featured within the Aman Spa and every Residence, reflecting Hokkaido’s status as the onsen capital of the world.

Resort Living

The main pavilion forms the social heart of the property, housing two restaurants, a bar, whisky and cigar lounge, private dining room, library, boutique and gallery, alongside dedicated ski facilities for seamless winter living. Thirty guest suites are located in a separate pavilion, each positioned to capture uninterrupted mountain views.

A Home Away From Home

The free-standing, two-storey Residences are conceived as refined private homes. One to three bedrooms are complemented by generous entertaining areas, terraces, dedicated ski rooms and loft-style mezzanines, with each Residence individually tailored to suit its owner’s lifestyle.

At Aman Niseko, guests and Residence owners alike are immersed in the Aman way of life, where design, service and nature converge to create an alpine retreat defined by privacy, balance and enduring luxury.
