ANANTARA PALAZZO NAIADI ROME HOTEL

Found in the heart of the Eternal City, Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel shows its palatial magnificence in a 19th-century neoclassical palace built over the remains of the Diocletian Thermal Baths.

Anantara is a luxury hospitality brand for modern travellers, connecting them to genuine places, people and stories through personal experiences, and providing heartfelt hospitality in the world’s most exciting destinations.

Striking the perfect balance between modern luxury and Roman authenticity, Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel offers 232 rooms and suites, all set in the late 19th-century main palace and the storied Clementine Wing.

Understated earth-tone palette, stately neoclassical style, high ceilings, thick carpeting, and careful soundproofing create an inviting retreat after a day touring Rome.

The hotel’s magnificent neoclassical portico makes for a grand entrance and sets the tone for the opulence of the interiors.

The focal point of the hotel is its soaring lobby, a two-storey confection of white-on-white colonnades and stuccoes topped by an enormous chandelier in Murano glass, its grandeur tempered by revolving exhibitions of contemporary art and a restrained neutral décor.

Visible beneath the glass floor on the lower level are the excavated foundations, pools and mosaics of the Baths of Diocletian, the ancient Rome’s largest public baths, while the Clementine Wing, built on the orders of Pope Clement XI in 1705, started its life as the Vatican’s granary.

ROOMS & SUITES

The 232 rooms and suites at Anantara Palazzo Naiadi blend old-world glamour with modern amenities and exclusive Anantara touches. For iconic views, Premium Panorama Room and Duplex or Junior Suite are both an excellent choice, while connoisseurs of contemporary architecture will appreciate the Executive Suite with its dark marble underfoot and spectacular views of the Piazza della Repubblica and Diocletian Baths. In addition, each of the Executive Suites comes with a unique feature, be it a treadmill, a steam bath or an intimate terrace for relaxation.

Two 187-sqm Presidential Suites boast double-height French windows, a pristine marble bathroom and a living room with a dining area and kitchenette for the most exclusive and intimate celebrations with views of the piazza and Terme di Diocleziano. Completely new are the two Anantara Suites, reflecting the modern luxury of Anantara spirit in terms of choice of colours, furniture, décor and interior design.

DINING

Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome’s six dining venues, helmed by Executive Chef Heros de Agostinis, offer classic Italian dining skilfully infused with modern sensibilities and global influences.

Elegant and sophisticated, the recently opened fine dining restaurant INEO invites diners to embark on an epicurean journey through cuisine and culture as a dynamic tasting menu unfolds. Chef Heros De Agostinis presents his interpretation of Italian métissage, an interweaving of the flavours and aromas collected on his worldwide travels with those of his Italian roots.

Nestled by the hotel’s main entrance is INEO Champagnerie – a luxurious cocktail bar offering panoramic views of the bustling Piazza della Repubblica and excellent people-watching from a shaded terrace.

In the heart of the hotel, the Lobby Bar serves morning coffee, light bites, decadent desserts and classic pre-dinner aperitivi in a spectacular hall dotted with art.

Sumptuous breakfast of local delicacies as well as white tablecloth lunch and dinner are offered at La Fontana – an elegant, white-marbled dining room with large windows overlooking Piazza della Repubblica.

For a dose of old-world charm and serenity, travellers can retire to The Fireplace Room where fireside drinks are served to a soundtrack of softly crackling embers.

The latest addition to the hotel’s roster of dining venues is Seen by Olivier, a poolside temple of hedonism that pairs that pairs alfresco poolside dining, mesmerising views of the city’s skyline and Mediterranean fusion cuisine from celebrity chef Olivier da Costa who brings his personal brand of magic to Rome from Lisbon via Sao Paulo and Bangkok.

ANANTARA SPA

The Eternal City’s brand-new haven of serenity, the luxurious Anantara Spa, draws on a history of Roman hydro wellness and healing traditions of the East to offer a carefully curated menu of indigenous treatments.

The 350-square-metre wellness centre is decked out in organic textures to create a soothing space that feels contemporary but still reflects the original qualities of the building.

Four treatments suites catering to the needs of both solo spa-goers and couples are complemented by a marbled hammam, sauna with a sensorial shower, relaxation area where herbal teas are served, and a newly expanded hydrotherapy zone.

Inspired by a bygone era when bath time was a cherished ritual, the treatment menu was expanded to add new signature therapies. Terme di Diocleziano Ritual – a pampering and refined experience that blends history and modernity – uses period-appropriate ingredients such as sage, lavender, honey, laurel and olive oil in a modern key to bring an ancient wellness ritual to life.

Marine-based Thalion products and vegan HUR Medical Cosmetics from Italy are at the heart of Sabine Luxury Facial and Gladiators Luxury Facial, while high-tech options include HydraFacial MD® and Intraceuticals Oxygen System. Guests can also unwind with body therapies ranging from massages to Ayurveda treatments and rituals designed specifically for the hands and feet.
