A Decade of the LT: McLaren Marks Ten Years of Pure Performance
Ten years, six icons. McLaren’s LT legacy continues to define the spirit of performance and precision.
McLaren Automotive is marked a decade since the unveiling of its first LT model, celebrating the evolution of an extraordinary lineage that began with the 675LT’s debut at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show.
Inspired by the legendary McLaren F1 GTR ‘Longtail’, which claimed its class victory at Le Mans in 1997, the LT philosophy has since become a hallmark of the brand’s most driver-focused creations. Each LT model represents a deeper expression of McLaren’s engineering intent: lighter, sharper, and more visceral.
From the original 675LT to the 600LT and 765LT, every iteration has been crafted in both Coupé and Spider form, limited in number yet limitless in ambition. The result: six defining models that capture the essence of McLaren’s pursuit of performance without compromise.
Throughout 2025, McLaren continued its Celebrate LT programme, a global initiative bringing together LT owners and enthusiasts through exclusive experiences, retailer events, and heritage showcases. A tribute not only to the cars themselves but to the community that embodies their spirit.

“For a decade, LT has embodied the pure, uncompromising performance that defines the very essence of McLaren. Relentlessly focused on delivering true driver engagement, every LT pushes the boundaries of weight reduction, aerodynamics, and power, to create an experience that is as thrilling as it is visceral.” – Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, Chief Commercial Officer, McLaren Automotive
As McLaren continues to honour its LT heritage, the marque reaffirms its commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and the pursuit of speed in its purest form.
